1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the Aura application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. You must be at least 18 years old to use Aura.
2. Description of Service
Aura is a voice-first dating application that connects users through voice-based interactions, personality matching, and live audio conversations ("Pod Dates"). The service includes profile creation, voice signature recording, AI-powered personality analysis, match recommendations, messaging, and live voice calls.
3. User Accounts
To use Aura, you must create an account by verifying your phone number. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
- Not create more than one account.
- Not share your account with others or allow others to access your account.
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
4. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws.
- Harass, bully, intimidate, or threaten other users.
- Post or share content that is offensive, hateful, discriminatory, or sexually explicit.
- Impersonate another person or create a fake profile.
- Use the App to solicit money or promote commercial activities.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or compromise the security of the App.
- Use automated systems, bots, or scripts to interact with the App.
- Share other users' personal information without their consent.
5. Content and Voice Recordings
By using Aura, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute the content you create within the App (including your Voice Signature, voice messages, and profile information) for the purpose of operating and improving the service. You retain ownership of your content and may delete it at any time by deleting your account.
Voice recordings are used for matching purposes and AI personality analysis as described in our Privacy Policy. You consent to this processing when you acknowledge the AI data disclosure during onboarding.
6. AI-Powered Features
Aura uses artificial intelligence to analyze your voice recordings and questionnaire responses to generate personality traits and compatibility scores. By using these features, you acknowledge that:
- AI-generated personality traits are algorithmic assessments and may not perfectly represent your personality.
- Compatibility scores are suggestions based on AI analysis and do not guarantee relationship success.
- You can request regeneration of your AI-generated traits at any time.
- AI processing is subject to the data handling practices described in our Privacy Policy.
7. Premium Subscription
Aura offers optional premium features through paid subscriptions ("Aura Premium"). Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID and automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your device's Settings. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.
8. Safety and Reporting
We are committed to maintaining a safe community. You can report inappropriate behavior or content using the in-app reporting tools. We investigate all reports and may take action including warnings, account restrictions, or permanent bans. We reserve the right to remove any content or terminate any account that violates these Terms.
9. Disclaimers
Aura is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that you will find a match or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We are not responsible for the conduct of any user, whether online or offline. You use the App at your own risk and should exercise caution when interacting with other users.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aura Dating, Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for Aura Premium in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any reason at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time through the App's settings. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately, and your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
12. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes through the App. Your continued use of Aura after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
